Our OSCAR Programme
OSCAR stands for ‘Out of School Care and Recreation’. It is a term that has been widely adopted in New Zealand to describe services that provide regular care for school age children (5 – 13 year olds) outside school hours; that is, after school and during the school holidays and Selwyn Kids limited is pleased to be able to offer such services.
OSCAR is more than child-minding services
Selwyn Kids’ central Rolleston location makes our OSCAR services easily accessible for families attending both Rolleston School and Clearview School.
Rolleston School is just 200 metres from our service and within easy walking distance. Children can travel safely using our walking OSCAR bus, with additional transport available when required.
For children attending Clearview School, Selwyn Kids provides transport to and from school using two modern, well-maintained vehicles. Both vehicles meet all required safety standards, including diagonal safety restraints, and are regularly serviced and maintained by a trusted local Rolleston mechanic.
Our Selwyn Kids OSCAR premises are dedicated solely to the care and education of children. This allows us to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment, with high safety standards checked daily by our OSCAR team.
